Bio 50 – Nutrition & Wellness Course CD
I’ve arranged with a company to create a CD on Demand for the Bio 50 Nutrition and Wellness course. This is not a requirement for the course, rather an option for those who would like to have the course materials at their ‘fingertips’ to print out more easily.
Ordering the CD
You have two options for ordering the CD:
- CD inside an envelope (like those used by Netflix and Blockbuster) using first class mail.
- They estimate 1/200 break in transit.
- If receives a defective or broken CD the company will ship out a replacement disc at no additional cost to you other than time.

Both of these CD’s came through the mail just fine, it just took them a bit of time to get here (one week). Hopefully that won’t happen with subsequent orders.
What’s on the CD
The CD includes the course Lectures as PowerPoint Slides and as PDF File of the Handouts that are passed out in the Face to Face course. It also includes much of the information needed for the course Activities, Papers, Take Home Assignments and the Reviews for the Exam and the Final.
The information on the CD has been uploaded into six different folders:
- 1. Lectures – PowerPoint
2. Lectures – PDF File of the handout given to the Face to Face students
3. Activities
4. Reviews
5. Take Homes
6. Papers
Having the CD available may make it a lot easier for those with Dial up connections to limit the time that they have to spend downloading documents for the course, so online time can be spent submitting assignments and listening to the course lectures.
To Purchase the Course CD
Unfortunately, the company that makes the CD’s doesn’t provide an easy way to purchase them online, so I have to run the purchases through our Business PayPal Account, The Violet Heart, to make everything legal and so the State can collect their Sales Tax.
The price of the CD includes a PayPal, handling and shipping fee.
Pricing of the CD’s
Pricing depends mainly on the packaging and the shipping.
- The Course CD in an Envelope – Priced at $ 5.98 plus California Tax. ($6.41 Total)The Course CD in a Rigid mailer – Priced at $ 7.24 plus California Tax. ($7.41 Total)
Your PayPal billing statement will read that you purchased the CD from The Violet Heart.
Filling Orders
Orders placed before 12:00 P.M. (noon) central time (10:00 A.M. Pacific) are shipped on the same day, otherwise they are shipped the next business day.
The company says that they do ship the CD packages every day except Sunday.
I have to manually place the order once I get it from you, so allow for a bit of time for me to get the orders place. To ensure a timely order, send me an email that you’ve placed an order.
